Bonn soup is a light vegetable soup often associated with healthy eating and diet plans. Its name is linked to the German city of Bonn, but its exact origin remains a mystery. The soup stands out with its bright fresh flavor due to the combination of cabbage, onion, carrot, sweet pepper, and celery. It has a rich aroma, especially when spices like coriander, bay leaf, curry, garlic or ginger are added. Its ease of preparation makes it an ideal option for everyday meals. After brief boiling, the vegetables retain their texture while herbs add extra freshness. Bonn soup is perfect for those aiming for proper nutrition as it is nutritious yet low in calories. It can be served as a standalone dish or as an accompaniment to light snacks.
