Rinse the peas and place them in a pot, add a liter of water, season with salt and pepper, bring to a boil, and cook for an hour on low heat with the lid on.

After an hour, add diced potatoes to the pot.

Finely chop the garlic and onion, place them in a pan, and fry in sunflower oil until golden brown. Cut the bacon into pieces about one and a half to two centimeters wide and add to the pan with the onion and garlic, frying until the desired level of browning.

Check if the potatoes are ready. If so, mash the pea-potato mixture directly in the pot and add bacon with garlic and onion.
