Spanish Onion Soup

Spanish onion soup is an exquisite blend of simple ingredients and refined flavor. This recipe has roots in traditional peasant dishes where onion, accessible and aromatic, played a key role in nutrition. The tender, slightly sweet taste of caramelized onions enhanced by meat broth and cream creates a warming and enveloping effect. Fried flour adds thickness while whipped yolks with cream provide a velvety texture. Light spicy notes of salt, pepper, and sugar balance the flavor, while fresh herbs complete the composition with delicate freshness. This soup is perfect for a hearty dinner on a cool evening or a cozy family lunch, reminiscent of Spain's rich gastronomic traditions.
