Fattoush with fried halloumi is a delightful Arabic salad that combines fresh vegetables, crispy pita, and tender fried halloumi. The roots of this dish trace back to the Levant, where fattoush is considered a traditional way to utilize leftover bread by turning it into a flavorful salad. The recipe's hallmark is the balance of textures: the softness of halloumi contrasts with the crunchy pita, while fresh vegetables add juiciness to the dish. A lemon-garlic and olive oil dressing enhances all flavors, making fattoush refreshing and rich. This dish is perfect as a light dinner or vibrant appetizer, served at family gatherings and festive events, delighting guests with its simplicity and richness of flavors.
