Homemade burgers are the embodiment of classic American cuisine with a cozy touch of home cooking. Their history dates back to burger joints in the USA, where a juicy patty in a soft bun became a symbol of taste and convenience. In the homemade version, patties are made with the addition of bread, milk, and aromatic spices, making them especially tender and juicy. Ketchup, fresh lettuce, melted cheese, and juicy tomatoes add harmony to the flavors. Such a burger is perfect for family dinners, friendly gatherings, or just to treat yourself to a delicious snack. The simplicity of preparation makes it accessible to everyone while its rich flavor is unforgettable.

We take 3 pieces of bread, break them and put them in a large bowl with milk. We mash the bread with a fork to make a paste, then add an egg. Next, we grate onion into the same bowl and mix everything together. We add our minced meat along with salt, pepper, and spices to taste; I also added cayenne pepper. We mix everything and shape patties on a floured board before frying them.

We cut the hamburger buns in half (usually they are whole), pour ketchup on the bottom bun (I used Heinz ketchup for grilling and shashlik), add a lettuce leaf on top, then our patty, a slice of cheese, a tomato on top, and a little salt. We do this with all the burgers. I made 8 burgers.
