Saffron rice with raisins and nuts

Saffron rice with raisins and nuts is a refined dish of Indian cuisine that combines rich aromas and a delicate texture. This dish is often served at celebrations and formal events, as saffron is one of the most expensive spices in the world, giving the rice a golden hue and a subtle floral aroma. The sweet raisins add a soft fruity note, while the crunchy nuts provide exquisite textural contrast. Lightly sautéing onions and rice in olive oil enhances the depth of flavor, while slow cooking allows each ingredient to unfold. This dish pairs wonderfully with spicy chicken or vegetable curries, highlighting the richness of Indian gastronomy. It should be served hot to fully enjoy its warming aroma and magnificent flavor palette.
