Spaghetti with seafood

Spaghetti with seafood is a refined dish of Italian cuisine that embodies the freshness of the sea and the rich aromas of Mediterranean ingredients. It originated in Italy's coastal regions where fishermen prepared simple yet incredibly tasty dishes from the catch of the day. Tender squid, juicy mussels, and shrimp infused with wine and garlic create a rich, harmonious flavor. Lime adds a light citrus freshness while parsley completes the composition with subtle green notes. Served hot straight from the pot, it allows the ingredients to retain their flavor richness. This is an ideal choice for a romantic dinner or family gathering where marine elegance meets the coziness of home cooking.

I cleaned the squid from the insides and cut them into thin strips. I removed the beard and growths from the mussels. I diced the tomato into small cubes, but first removed the seeds.

- Mussels in shells: 10 pieces
- Tomatoes: 1 piece

In a deep pot over a strong flame, I lightly browned two crushed garlic cloves. Then I added the shrimp, frying them for about a minute while constantly stirring. Next, I added the squid, and a minute later, a tomato and bay leaf went into the pot. I kept stirring with a ladle the whole time.
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Shrimps: 8 pieces
- Squid: 2 pieces
- Tomatoes: 1 piece
- Bay leaf: 1 piece

After another minute, I reduced the heat to medium and poured wine into the pot. I sliced a few lime wedges into the pot with seafood and squeezed in some juice. I let it simmer for 3 minutes. If there's no wine, hot water or fish broth will work. If that's also a problem, use more tomatoes.
- Dry white wine: 100 ml
- Lime: 0.5 piece
- Tomatoes: 1 piece

By this time, most of the alcohol should have evaporated. At this moment, you need to add the mussels. And a little parsley leaves. Cover with a lid and simmer until the mollusks open their shells. Discard those that do not.
- Mussels in shells: 10 pieces
- Parsley: 20 g

I poured the spaghetti boiled in salted water into the pot, mixed it, and it's ready.
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
