Meatballs in spicy tomato sauce are a true delight of Italian cuisine, combining spiciness, richness, and the warmth of a homemade dish. Their roots trace back to Mediterranean culinary traditions where meat, aromatic herbs, and tomatoes form the basis of many recipes. Tender meatballs infused with nutmeg and parsley flavor acquire an appetizing crispy crust when fried. The sauce, rich in tomato paste, garlic, and cayenne pepper heat adds zest to the dish and makes it particularly warming. These meatballs pair perfectly with pasta, rice or simply fresh bread to enjoy every bite.
