Baked fish roll is a refined dish of Russian cuisine that combines the tenderness of cod fillet with the rich aroma of onion and white bread. Traditionally, such rolls were made in fishermen's homes to emphasize the freshness of the catch. The sour cream crust gives the dish a light golden texture when baked, while spices reveal the deep flavor of sea fish. This roll is perfect for both festive tables and cozy family dinners. It is served warm, accompanied by fresh vegetables or a light sauce. The combination of softness inside and a crispy crust outside makes it especially appetizing. Fish roll is an example of simple yet exquisite cooking where each ingredient plays its important role in creating a harmony of taste.
