Baked pork belly is a traditional European dish that embodies the perfect blend of simplicity and rich flavor. Historically, this recipe traces back to rural regions of Europe where pork was used to create hearty meals for all occasions. The belly, generously seasoned with smoked paprika, garlic, and fresh herbs, is slowly roasted into a tender and aromatic roll with a crispy golden crust. Each slice reveals warm, smoky notes of paprika balanced by the spiciness of garlic and the freshness of basil. This dish is perfect for both festive tables and cozy family dinners. Served chilled or hot, it pairs wonderfully with bread, pickled vegetables, and mustard.
