Salisbury steak is a dish of British cuisine with a deep history, named after Dr. James Salisbury, an advocate of healthy eating. It is a tender, juicy patty made from ground beef, seasoned with dry mustard, black pepper, and beef broth, then simmered in a fragrant onion sauce. Its flavor is rich and robust with a slight tang from ketchup and mustard. Served with a favorite side dish like mashed potatoes or vegetables, it creates a cozy and hearty meal. Perfect for family dinners or those who appreciate classic British flavors.
