Cheesy baked potatoes are a cozy dish of Russian cuisine that combines the creaminess of dairy, the zest of garlic, and the rich flavor of cheese. It resembles a traditional gratin but has its own characteristic simplicity and warmth of home. Baked thin slices of potato are soaked in a fragrant creamy-milk sauce that gives them softness and richness. The golden cheesy crust adds a crunchy texture and an appetizing appearance.
