If needed, peel the tomatoes and add them to the pan.
- Tomatoes in their own juice: 400 g

Make a cross-shaped cut on fresh tomatoes and dip them in boiling water for 5 seconds. Remove the skin, chop the tomatoes finely, and add them to the pan.

Add pepper, cumin, basil, and spices to taste. Mix everything.

Add lentils to the pan without any prior processing, mix thoroughly, add 1 cup of room temperature water, salt it, bring to a boil and simmer on medium heat until the lentils are fully cooked. If needed, add more water during the simmering process.

Remove the lentils from heat, add chopped greens, mix, cover with a lid and let sit for a few minutes.
