Polish cod is a traditional dish of Polish cuisine where tender white fish gains rich flavor from milk, butter, and aromatic onions. Historically, this recipe reflects the simplicity and nourishment of Polish gastronomy, with fish playing an important role. Tender pieces of cod slowly simmered in a creamy sauce are complemented by boiled eggs that add softness and richness to the taste. This dish is perfect for a family dinner or cozy lunch. The milk keeps the fish juicy while the butter gives it a delicate creamy texture. Polish cod is served hot and can be accompanied by fresh vegetables or potatoes for a balanced meal.
