Baked Sweet Potato with Blue Cheese

65 minutes
Baked sweet potato with blue cheese is an elegant and simple dish that combines the tender sweetness of sweet potatoes with the rich, tangy flavor of blue cheese. Historically, sweet potatoes have been a valuable ingredient in various cuisines, and baking them gives them a caramelized aroma and velvety texture. Thyme and garlic used in baking fill the dish with a warm, spicy fragrance. Crumbled blue cheese on hot potatoes melts to create a creamy, slightly salty coating. This dish is perfect as a standalone appetizer or side for meat dishes. Almond crumble adds textural contrast while fresh thyme completes the composition. Exquisite yet simple, this recipe brings a touch of restaurant sophistication to home cooking.

1
Wash the sweet potato, place it in foil with thyme and garlic without peeling, seal it, and put it in the oven at 200 degrees for 40 minutes.
- Sweet potato: 1 piece
- Fresh thyme: 0.5 bunch
- Garlic: 2 cloves
2
After the specified time, take out the sweet potato, open the envelope, cut the sweet potato in half, season with salt and pepper. Seal it again and put it in the oven for another 20 minutes.
- Salt: pinch
- Ground black pepper: pinch
3
Remove from the oven. Crumble the blue cheese by hand and sprinkle it over the sweet potato (don't skimp on the cheese). Serve with a sprig of thyme for aroma, and you can also sprinkle with almond crumbs.
- Blue cheese: 30 g
- Fresh thyme: 0.5 bunch
