Brisket with apple sauce is an exquisite dish of American cuisine that combines the rich flavor of juicy meat with a refreshing fruit tartness. The brisket undergoes careful preparation, absorbing the aroma of herbs and spices, and is then roasted to a tender texture with a crispy crust. The key feature of the dish is the apple sauce, which adds a special depth of flavor by balancing the sweetness of caramelized apples with the slight acidity of lemon juice and vinegar. Historically, the combination of meat and fruit has been widely used in American gastronomy, bringing notes of freshness and uniqueness. This dish is perfect for a festive table or a cozy family dinner, especially in cooler weather when warming, hearty food is needed.

1
Mix salt and spices and rub the brisket thoroughly. Let it sit for 3-4 hours. Then rinse the meat and dry it with a paper towel. Place it in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours or overnight.
- Salt: 1 glass
- Mixture of herbs: 1 tablespoon
- Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Fennel seeds: 1 tablespoon
- Pork belly: 2.5 kg
2
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.
3
Rub the brisket with vegetable oil and salt, then place the meat skin side up on a baking sheet and put it in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Vegetable oil: 50 ml
- Salt: 1 glass
4
Reduce the oven temperature to 150 degrees and cook for another 45-50 minutes (if the oven is equipped with a grill, you can turn on the grill for the last 15 minutes for a crispier crust).

Prepare the sauce. To do this, bring sugar and vinegar to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add apples and cook until the apples are very soft. Remove from heat, add lemon juice, and blend into a puree sauce. Let the sauce cool in the refrigerator.
- Sugar: 150 g
- Rice vinegar: 75 ml
- Apple: 6 pieces
- Lemon juice: 15 ml
6
Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Then slice it and serve with apple sauce.
