Migas

Migas is an ancient dish of Spanish cuisine that originated as a way to make efficient use of leftover bread. Its name means 'crumbs', which fully reflects the essence of the recipe. Crispy bread pieces soaked in aromatic garlic oil pair wonderfully with juicy sweet peppers, spicy chorizo, and tender onions. The flavor of migas is rich and layered: first comes the light sweetness of the peppers, followed by the spiciness of the smoked sausage, while the crunchy bread bits add textural pleasure. This dish not only warms the soul but is also perfect for a hearty breakfast or a cozy family lunch. Migas should be served hot to fully reveal its rich flavor notes and enjoy its aroma.
