Swiss-style chard with golden raisins is a harmonious blend of soft greens and sweet notes of raisins, enriched with the aroma of pancetta and nutmeg. This dish, originating from European cuisine, carries the warmth of traditional home recipes passed down through generations. The slight tartness of the chard beautifully complements the sweetness of the raisins, while chicken broth deepens the flavor. It is perfect as a standalone dish or as a side to meat and fish dishes. It reflects the essence of cozy Alpine cuisine—a simple yet refined approach to preparing fresh and accessible ingredients. It is best served hot to fully enjoy the richness of flavors and aromas.

1
Chop the greens of red chard coarsely and toss them into a hot skillet with olive oil. Sauté lightly.

2
Also add chopped onion and pancetta. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.

When the onion becomes soft and the pancetta is browned, add the chopped chard stems to the pan and continue sautéing for 2-3 minutes.
