The chicken (or thighs) is cut into portions. It's better to remove the skin and not boil it. Place the portioned pieces in a large saucepan, pour in sour cream and water, bring to a boil, and then pour out a cup of liquid.

Finely chop the onion and sauté it in a separate pan in butter until soft. Gradually mix 2 tablespoons of flour with cooled water and sour cream (the one we set aside at the beginning of cooking), stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
