Potato-meat casserole is a classic Russian dish that combines simplicity and rich flavor. Its roots trace back to home cooking, where the combination of minced meat and tender mashed potatoes became a symbol of comfort and hearty meals. The aromatic filling soaked in Bolognese tomato sauce gives the casserole a rich taste with a slight tanginess, while the airy mashed potatoes soften it, creating a perfect balance of textures. The casserole is good not only freshly made but also the next day when the flavors deepen even more. It is great for family dinners, easy to portion out, and its rich aroma will make your home cozier. Serve with herbs or a light salad for the perfect combination of taste and health.
