Cabbage and minced meat are old friends. And it doesn't matter what kind of minced meat it is, the main thing is that it is meat or poultry - chicken, pork, beef or lamb. Cabbage greatly dilutes the intensity of protein and fat, which almost any minced meat consists of , and together these two ingredients produce a juicy, light and at the same time nutritious dish. This recipe for cabbage with minced meat is basic, on its basis you can prepare many different dishes - from a pie to a hearty solyanka, supplemented with some other ingredients. Traditionally, cabbage and meat put together are also seasoned with classic tomato paste - this way the dish acquires a bright character and a pleasant sweet and sour note, which is beneficial to the naturally bland cabbage.

Chop the onion into small cubes.
- Onion: 1 head

Grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
- Carrot: 1 piece

Chop 2 cloves of garlic.
- Garlic: 2 cloves

Finely chop the cabbage, removing the core.
- White cabbage: 500 g

In a large skillet, heat the oil and sauté the onion until golden brown, stirring constantly.
- Vegetable oil: 30 ml

Add the carrot and continue frying, stirring, over medium heat for 5–7 minutes.
- Carrot: 1 piece

Add the minced meat to the pan and fry for a few minutes until it changes color.
- Ground meat: 500 g

Add minced garlic, stir and fry for about 1 minute, then pour in the tomato puree and bring to a boil.
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Tomato puree: 300 g

Add cabbage, season with salt and pepper, cover with a lid and simmer for about half an hour until the cabbage is soft. Occasionally open the lid and stir the contents of the pan.
- White cabbage: 500 g

Taste the cabbage with minced meat, add salt if needed, and pepper. Serve sprinkled with chopped parsley.
