Baked potatoes with cheese are simple and quick, but to make them outstanding, watch our video recipe. Firstly, you shouldn't add any cheese to them, spicy cheddar cheese goes best with potatoes. Secondly , 20-30 minutes before cooking, sprinkle the potatoes with grated mozzarella, it doesn't have as bright a taste as cheddar, but it has an ideal viscous texture and will cover the potato wedges with a golden crust.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes about 2 cm on each side.
- Potato: 1.25 kg

Chop the garlic and remove the leaves from the thyme sprigs.
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Thyme: 4 sprigs

Grate cheddar on a coarse grater.
- Cheddar cheese: 200 g

Mix the potatoes with garlic, thyme, cheddar, and the other ingredients except for mozzarella. Stir.
- Potato: 1.25 kg

- Milk: 160 ml
- Cream 33%: 250 ml
- Salt: 0.8 teaspoon

Place the potatoes in a baking dish, cover with foil, and send to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for one hour.

Grate the mozzarella on a coarse grater.
- Mozzarella cheese: 100 g

After an hour, remove the foil and evenly sprinkle the contents of the dish with grated mozzarella. Return the potatoes to the oven for another 25 minutes or until the mozzarella is golden.
