Cointreau liqueur is a refined European creation that has captured the hearts of gourmets with its deep citrus aroma and delicate balance of sweetness and bitterness. The history of this drink begins in France, where liqueur masters sought the perfect blend of orange peel, spices, and alcohol. Its vibrant flavor with a hint of spiciness is achieved through black and red pepper, while bay leaf adds a special spice. Lemon and orange zest provide the drink with a rich citrus bouquet, and sugar softens the bitterness, creating a harmony of flavors. This liqueur pairs perfectly with ice and serves as an excellent base for cocktails, adding elegance and character to them. It can be enjoyed neat or as part of complex mixes that reveal its full flavor depth.

We remove the zest. It's best to take only the colored layer of the peel, but if you're feeling lazy, you can just put the peels of two oranges.

We mix with spices. The zest is manually chopped and added to the jar along with the spices: two bay leaves, five black peppercorns, and a pinch of red pepper.

We wait. The bottle or jar is tightly closed and stored in a dark place for three to four days.
