Fruit and berry mulled wine is a fragrant and warming drink from German cuisine. Its history dates back to ancient times when wine was mixed with spices to create a refined taste and protect against the cold. The recipe is based on red dry wine complemented by citrus notes of orange and apple as well as the rich berry freshness of currants. Cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and anise give the drink a spicy character, creating a perfect blend of sweetness and depth. Mulled wine is ideal for winter evenings, festive gatherings or cozy meetings with loved ones. Its taste is rich, warm and slightly tart while its aroma awakens the senses and fills the atmosphere with coziness. It is served hot and strained beforehand making it a perfect drink for relaxation and enjoying the moment.
