Cabbage fried in egg

Egg-fried cabbage is a simple yet exquisite dish of European cuisine, perfect for a light and nutritious dinner. This treat originates from folk recipes where juicy vegetables and aromatic spices harmoniously blend together. Tender pieces of cabbage soaked in an egg mixture with cumin and soy sauce acquire an appetizing golden crust. The mild spiciness of black pepper and garlic complements the flavor, creating a balance between the softness of the cabbage and the richness of the spices. The dish can be served with greens for added freshness and aroma. Egg-fried cabbage is great as a standalone dish or as a side to meat and fish, and its simplicity makes it an ideal choice for a quick home meal.

1
First, we break 2 eggs and mix them with salt, cumin, and soy sauce. We whisk everything until smooth.
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
- Salt: pinch
- Ground cumin (zira): pinch
- Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
2
We clean the cabbage head, wash it, and chop it (I took a small cabbage, so it was enough to cut it into even medium-sized pieces).
- Cabbage: 500 g
3
We dip the cabbage in the egg mixture. On a preheated pan, not forgetting to grease it with oil, we place the prepared cabbage.
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
4
Fry the cabbage on both sides until golden brown. Optionally, you can garnish the dish with herbs and pieces of finely chopped garlic. Enjoy your meal!
- Ground black pepper: pinch
