Preheat the grill or barbecue.

Clean the onions and cut them into quarters. Transfer to a bowl.
- Red onion: 4 heads

Add olive oil and mix well.
- Extra virgin olive oil: 4 teaspoons

Place the onion pieces cut side down on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until soft and browned.
