Baked chicken wings in sweet and spicy sauce

Baked chicken wings in a sweet and spicy sauce are a vibrant dish of Chinese cuisine that combines depth of flavor and appetizing texture. Wings soaked in a rich sauce made from tomato paste, soy sauce, and spices acquire a rich sweet-spicy taste with a hint of smokiness. Ginger and paprika add zest, while lemon juice and vinegar highlight the harmony of aromas. The wings are baked to a golden crust while retaining juiciness inside. This is the perfect treat for warm friendly gatherings or as an accompaniment to an Asian dinner.

1
Prepare the sauce. For this, mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl (crush fresh garlic with a garlic press or grate it).
- Garlic: 2 cloves

2
Place the wings in a baking dish. If necessary, grease the dish with oil. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees on convection mode. Mix the wings with 3/4 of the sauce, place in the preheated oven, and bake for 25 minutes. (If a crispy crust is desired — add all the sauce, bake for not 25 but 35 minutes and skip the next step. In this case, the wings will be less spicy.)
