Dietary plum crumble is a light and fragrant dessert inspired by British cuisine. Its origin is linked to the traditional crumble that emerged during World War II when shortages of ingredients led housewives to create simple yet delicious desserts. In this version, fresh plums soaked in honey and rum create a rich fruity flavor with subtle caramel notes. The oat crumble adds a crunchy texture that harmoniously complements the juiciness of the plums. The crumble is perfect as a light breakfast or healthy snack and can be served warm or chilled. This dessert is not only tasty but also healthy as it contains natural ingredients and is high in fiber. Serve it with low-fat yogurt or a cup of aromatic tea to highlight its sophistication.
