Homemade vanilla ice cream is a delicate dessert with a soft texture and rich vanilla flavor that evokes warm childhood memories. This recipe, rooted in Russian culinary traditions, uses simple natural ingredients: milk, eggs, sugar, and vanillin. Historically, ice cream was only available to the nobility but over time became a beloved treat in many homes. Through careful preparation where the mixture thickens slowly and is strained, the dessert achieves smoothness and velvetiness. It can be served with berries, chocolate or nuts, creating new flavor variations. Perfect for summer evenings or cozy family gatherings when you want to indulge in something special.
