Muffins with candied fruits and nuts are light, aromatic pastries that embody the traditions of American cuisine. Historically, muffins emerged as a quick and convenient breakfast or dessert option that can be easily made at home. Their delicate texture combined with crunchy nuts and sweet pieces of candied fruit creates a rich flavor with subtle caramel and vanilla notes. The kefir in the batter makes the pastry especially soft, while cocoa adds a light chocolate hue. These muffins are perfect for morning tea or cozy evenings with a cup of coffee. They can be diversified by adding coconut flakes, berries, or other sweet fillers. The simplicity of preparation and the possibility to experiment make this recipe a favorite among home baking enthusiasts.
