Cherry and cinnamon pie is a fragrant and delicate treat popular in Russian cuisine. Its history begins in traditional home recipes where sour berries were combined with sweet dough to create the perfect balance of flavors. Cherry adds juiciness and a slight tartness to the pie, while cinnamon provides a warm, spicy aroma that makes it especially cozy. This pie is ideal for family tea gatherings, cozy evenings, or celebrations. With its airy kefir dough and crispy crust, it pleasantly surprises with its texture. It can be served as a standalone dessert or with sour cream or vanilla ice cream to enhance the flavor nuances.
