Indian sweets made from chickpeas and dried fruits are a true gift for lovers of Eastern cuisine. This dessert combines ancient traditions of Indian sweets, where chickpeas are an important source of protein and dried fruits add natural sweetness and rich flavor. Historically, such treats were prepared at home for festive occasions or during religious ceremonies. The mixture of chickpeas, figs, and apricots, complemented by honey, creates a pliable texture perfect for forming small balls. They can be rolled in cocoa, nuts, sesame seeds or powdered sugar to give each piece a unique aroma. This is not just a dessert but a true delight that provides energy and sophistication of taste. Try it and feel the warmth of Indian cuisine in every bite!

1
Soak chickpeas in water overnight. Soak dried fruits (apricots, figs) in cognac. If there are children, soak them in any juice.
- Chickpeas: 200 g
- Dried apricots: 8 pieces
- Dried figs: 8 pieces
- Cognac: 1 tablespoon

In the morning, rinse the chickpeas and boil them. Pass all the ingredients (chickpeas, figs, dried apricots) through a meat grinder. The ingredients will be approximately equal.
- Chickpeas: 200 g
- Dried apricots: 8 pieces
- Dried figs: 8 pieces

Add 1 tablespoon of honey to the resulting mixture and stir. It becomes a fragrant plastic mass.
- Honey: 1 tablespoon
4
Form balls from the mass. The mass is easy to mold. The main difficulty is not to eat them right away. You get 25 balls the size of a walnut. The mass turned out very tasty. You will definitely lick the spoon.

Roll the finished balls in toppings of your choice. I had several options: a mixture of cocoa and cinnamon, ground nuts, sesame, powdered sugar. Choose according to your preference.

- Sesame: 3 tablespoons
- Cinnamon: to taste
- Powdered sugar: to taste
