Quick jam pie is a simple and cozy pastry popular in Russian cuisine. It is perfect for tea parties or family gatherings. The base of the pie is kefir dough, making it tender and airy, while the addition of nuts gives a light textural crunch. Jam, whether currant, raspberry or apricot, adds sweetness and a rich fruity flavor. If desired, this pie can be turned into a full cake by dividing it into layers and spreading cream between them. Its soft structure, light sweetness and the possibility of various fillings make this pie a versatile treat.
