Spicy New Year cookies are the cozy aroma of winter holidays captured in a crispy crust. Originating from Spanish cuisine, they are infused with the warmth of cinnamon, the spiciness of ginger, and the gentle sweetness of honey. In Spain, such treats are traditionally made during the Christmas season when homes fill with the scents of spices and caramelized sugar. These cookies pair wonderfully with hot chocolate or mulled wine, creating an atmosphere of comfort and magic. Their soft texture inside and slightly crunchy crust outside make them perfect for leisurely evenings by the fireplace or with family. Thanks to a unique blend of spices, they not only delight the taste buds but also warm the soul on chilly winter days. Bake them and your home will be filled with the aroma of celebration!
