The 'Stolichnye' chocolate muffins are a refined treat of Russian cuisine, combining the tenderness of buttery dough with the rich taste of chocolate. Their history begins in classic Russian baking recipes where the quality of ingredients and cooking skill play a key role. The preparation involves whipping butter with sugar to an airy mass, adding eggs and cognac for aroma, and then flour with baking powder for structural lightness. The chocolate surprise inside makes these muffins particularly appealing, creating a delightful contrast of textures and flavors. They are served slightly cooled, dusted with powdered sugar, complemented by a cup of fragrant tea or coffee. These muffins are perfect for cozy evenings or festive tables, delighting guests with their exquisite taste and homely warmth.
