Sour cream and honey oatmeal cookies are a cozy and aromatic treat from home European cuisine. They beautifully combine the tenderness of sour cream, the sweetness of honey, and the softness of oatmeal flakes, creating a rich and deep flavor. The light caramel note from baked honey makes each crumb special. These cookies are a great addition to morning coffee or evening tea and can be served with milk or fruit jam. Thanks to the oatmeal flakes, they have a light texture and pleasant crunchiness, while sour cream adds airiness. Such cookies not only delight with their taste but also bring comfort and warmth – which is why they are often made for family gatherings and festive tea parties.

1
We grind the oats in a blender, but not too much so that they don't turn into flour.
- Oat flakes: 1 glass
2
We mix flour and baking soda.
- Wheat flour: 1 glass
- Soda: 0.5 teaspoon
3
We mix butter with sugar, add an egg, sour cream, and honey.
- Butter: 100 g
- Sugar: 0.5 glass
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Sour cream: 5 tablespoon
- Honey: 5 tablespoon
4
Add the crushed flakes and flour to the liquid ingredients. Mix everything well and spoon the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Oat flakes: 1 glass
- Wheat flour: 1 glass
5
Place the dough far apart, as the cookies expand significantly in volume - this will prevent them from sticking together. Bake the cookies at 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
