Homemade cottage cheese casserole is a delicate, aromatic dish of Russian cuisine that lovingly preserves the traditions of home comfort. Its roots go back centuries when cottage cheese was considered the foundation of nutritious and healthy food. The casserole has an airy, slightly grainy texture due to the peculiarities of cottage cheese preparation. The taste is sweetish with subtle notes of vanilla, perfectly paired with a cup of hot tea or fresh berries. The casserole is versatile: it can be a nutritious breakfast, a light dessert, or a cozy addition to a family dinner. Its simplicity makes it accessible even for novice cooks, while the classic recipe opens up space for creativity—dried fruits, nuts or honey can be added for new flavor nuances.

1
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2
Mash the cottage cheese with a fork. I advise not to bring the mixture to a creamy state; let the cottage cheese remain naturally grainy.
