Spiced sugar cookies are a refined dessert from Italian cuisine that combines the sweetness of sugar with the aroma of warm spices. The history of this cookie dates back centuries when spicy ingredients like cinnamon, clove, and ginger were valuable goods brought from the East. Their addition to baking became a symbol of wealth and festive treats. The cookie has a crispy crust and a soft, rich flavor with a hint of spice.
