Coconut balls

Coconut balls are a delicate treat with an amazingly airy texture and rich coconut aroma. Their roots can be found in American cuisine, where such desserts are valued for their simplicity and rich flavor. The sweetness of sugar harmonizes with the light tartness of lemon zest, giving the balls an exquisite fragrance. The crispy crust after baking makes them even more appetizing. These coconut balls are perfect for a cup of fragrant tea or as a light treat for celebrations. Their ease of preparation makes them an excellent choice for cozy home evenings or festive events.

1
Separate the whites from the yolks and set the yolks aside.
- Egg white: 2 pieces
2
Add sugar to the egg whites and mix thoroughly.
- Sugar: 110 g
3
Add coconut flakes and grated zest of half a lemon to the mixture.
- Coconut flakes: 180 g
- Lemon zest: 0.5 piece
4
Make dense balls from the mixture. It's better to place the finished balls in a mold (silicone can be used) rather than on a bare baking sheet.
5
Bake at 180 degrees until a yellow crust forms (about 10 minutes).
