Mustard pie is a unique and aromatic treat that combines the tender texture of dough with the spicy sharpness of mustard. Its roots can be traced back to European cuisine, where mustard was often used not only as a seasoning but also in baking to give dishes an unusual flavor. The sweetness of sugar and the tanginess of kefir balance the fiery character of mustard, creating a unique gastronomic combination. The result is a pie with a golden crust, soft core, and subtle spicy notes. It is perfect as a standalone dish or as an accompaniment to tea, coffee, or even cheese and meat snacks.
