Apple puff pastries are a truly cozy dessert inspired by Russian culinary traditions. Sweet apples encased in crispy dough create a refined blend of light tartness and caramel sweetness. They are perfect for family tea gatherings or warm autumn evenings. Their roots can be found in old Russian baking recipes where fruits were often baked in dough to impart a special flavor. Making these pastries is a creative process: each pastry resembles a small sealed surprise that reveals itself after baking, filling the home with the aroma of baked apples and vanilla dough. The sugary crust gives the pastries a crunchy texture, making them especially appetizing. The simplicity of ingredients and delightful taste make this dessert a beloved treat for the whole family.

1
Cut the apples in half so that the core hole is in both halves.
- Apple: 10 pieces
2
Carefully cut out the core with a sharp thin knife.
3
Separate the egg white from the yolk and beat it a little.
4
Roll out the puff pastry, but don't make it too thin, or it will tear when sealing the bun.
5
Place half an apple on the rolled-out dough and sprinkle 1 teaspoon of sugar into the core hole.
- Apple: 10 pieces
- Sugar: 1 glass
6
Carefully seal the bun without leaving holes, so that the sugar syrup does not leak during cooking — the apple should be completely covered by the dough, and the top of the bun should be rounded after sealing.
7
Then dip the bun in whipped egg white, then in sugar, and place it on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil.
- Chicken egg (large): 1 piece
- Sugar: 1 glass
8
Bake in a well-preheated oven for 30 minutes.
