Berry Pie

Berry pie is a delicate and airy treat of Russian cuisine, infused with the aroma of fresh berries and a light creamy tang of sour cream. Historically, such pies were baked in Russian villages using seasonal berries to impart natural sweetness and juiciness to the pastry. The shortcrust pastry enriched with butter creates a soft base, while the berry filling adds brightness to the flavor. The baked sour cream lattice gives the pie a creamy texture, making it especially tender. This pie is perfect for cozy family tea gatherings, festive feasts, or simply as a delightful treat on a cool day. A light dusting of powdered sugar completes the composition, adding a touch of elegance.
