Chocolate cake with a banana layer is a true delight for dessert lovers. Its roots trace back to European cuisine, where chocolate pastries are valued for their rich flavor. The velvety texture of the batter resembles airy chocolate soufflé, while thin slices of banana add natural sweetness and softness. Combined with cocoa and powdered sugar, this dessert becomes the perfect complement to morning coffee or a cozy tea time. It is especially good on a cool evening when you crave something warm and aromatic. The harmony of flavors—chocolate, banana, delicate cream—makes this cake worthy of being the star of the festive table. Its simplicity in preparation allows even novice cooks to enjoy it.

1
Melt chocolate with cream in a water bath, stirring constantly until emulsified, and place in a cool place to cool. Cut butter into cubes, add sugar (50 g or 2 tablespoons) and whip until fluffy cream. Then mix in the chocolate and whip again until smooth.
- Dark chocolate: 100 g
- Cream 30%: 50 ml
- Butter: 100 g
- Sugar: 75 g
2
Separate the eggs into yolks and whites. Add the yolks to the chocolate cream, whip until fluffy, sift the flour with the baking powder, and whip again to avoid lumps. Whip the whites separately first to a strong foam, then add a tablespoon of sugar and whip to stiff peaks. Gently fold into the chocolate cream with a spoon from top to bottom. The finished batter should resemble chocolate soufflé.
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
- Wheat flour: 50 g
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
- Sugar: 75 g

Peel the bananas and slice them thinly (about 2 mm). Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with flour, lay a thin layer of dough in it, and then arrange the bananas overlapping in two rows on top. Add the remaining dough, smooth it out, and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Check readiness with a skewer - it should come out dry.
