Apricot filling is a classic element of Russian cuisine, filled with the sunny taste of dried apricots. The history of this simple yet exquisite recipe roots back to the traditions of Russian bakers who used natural sweets for pie and roll fillings. After gentle boiling, apricots acquire a rich texture and reveal their fruity acidity, creating a wonderful balance with the sweetness of sugar. This filling is perfect for pies, rolls, or even as a standalone treat. It can be used in vegetarian dishes as it contains no animal products. Rich in vitamins and natural sugars, apricot filling is not just a sweet delight but also a source of energy and health benefits.
