Soft chocolate chip cookies are a classic American treat that emerged in the 1930s thanks to hotel owner Ruth Wakefield. These cookies are characterized by their softness, airy texture, and rich buttery flavor complemented by melting chocolate chunks. The preparation starts with mixing butter, sugar, and egg to give the dough smoothness. After adding flour and chilling it becomes pliable, while the chocolate pieces provide appetizing sweet flecks. The cookies are perfect for cozy evenings, friendly gatherings or tea times, and their aroma spreads throughout the home creating an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. They are especially delicious with milk, making them a favorite treat for both children and adults.
