Lenten Fried Rice

Another Eastern recipe, where rice graciously embraces all sorts of bright ingredients: oyster mushrooms, ginger with garlic, red onion and soy sauce, sesame oil and chili. This rice is good on its own and as a side dish for chicken , so it is an ideal meal that can be cooked in a house where there are both fasting people and those who eat everything.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Boil the rice according to the instructions on the package.
- Basmati rice: 300 g

Finely chop the chili pepper, ginger, and garlic.
- Chili pepper: 1 piece
- Ginger: 15 g
- Garlic: 3 cloves

Cut the onion and sweet pepper into strips, grate the carrot on a Korean grater.
- Red onion: 1 head
- Sweet pepper: 1 piece
- Carrot: 1 piece

Tear the oyster mushrooms by hand.
- Oyster mushrooms: 150 g

Heat sesame oil and quickly fry the carrot in it over high heat.
- Sesame oil: 70 ml
- Carrot: 1 piece

Next, add onion, garlic, ginger, and chili pepper and fry for 1 minute. Pour in soy sauce.
- Red onion: 1 head

Add oyster mushrooms and sweet pepper to the pan. Fry for another minute.
- Oyster mushrooms: 150 g
- Sweet pepper: 1 piece

Add rice and fry, stirring, for 3-4 minutes. Taste and salt if necessary.
- Basmati rice: 300 g

Serve the fried rice garnished with rings of green onion.
