Vareniki with cottage cheese and raisins are a traditional Russian dish filled with the warmth and coziness of home cooking. Their history begins in Eastern Slavic cuisine, where dough with various fillings became a favorite treat. The delicate dough made with boiling water gives the vareniki softness and elasticity, while the filling of cottage cheese with raisins creates a harmonious blend of sweetness and slight sourness. Vareniki are served hot with sour cream, enhancing their delicate flavor. This dish is perfect for family dinners or festive gatherings and is also a great option for those who appreciate simple yet exquisite homemade recipes.
