Sidecar Cocktail

Legend has it that this cocktail was born at the end of World War I in Paris - in a bistro where an American army captain would roll up on a motorcycle with a sidecar (that's what a sidecar is) for a drink or two. Then bartender Pat McGarry brought the recipe to London - and the cocktail gained worldwide fame.

Ingredients

• Cognac: 50 ml
• Orange liqueur: 15 ml
• Lemon juice: 10 ml
• Lemon zest: to taste

Cooking steps

1. Pour cognac and liqueur into a shaker with ice, squeeze lemon juice, and shake.

   Required ingredients:

   • Cognac: 50 ml
   • Orange liqueur: 15 ml
   • Lemon juice: 10 ml

2. Strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with beautifully cut lemon zest.
