In a glass with crushed ice, place half of the mint and layer with rum, lime juice, and sugar syrup. Finish with Angostura and bitters.
- Mint: to taste
- Light rum: 60 ml
- Lime juice: 30 ml
- Sugar syrup: 20 ml
- Angostura: 2 ml
- Bitter: 2 ml

Garnish with remaining mint and a sugar cube soaked in absinthe (which can also be set on fire). Insert a bar spoon or straw for the drinker to stir the cocktail.
