Chernigov borscht differs from the classic one in the choice of ingredients: beans, zucchini and apple are added to it. Due to this, the taste of the borscht is brighter and the texture is rich. This is a very rich and thick soup, in addition to the above ingredients, potatoes, cabbage and, of course, meat are added to it, in this case, pork, on which the broth is cooked.     Prepare the necessary ingredients.

    Pour 5 liters of water over the meat, place it on the fire and bring to a boil. Skim off the foam, reduce the heat, add an onion, carrot, bay leaf, allspice and black peppercorns. Cook for 1.5–2 hours.

    Soak the beans in cold water overnight. Then drain the water and boil the beans in fresh water until soft.
